A New Chapter (and a New Kind of Blog)

Hi, I’m Meredith—welcome (or welcome back).

If you’ve been here for a while, you probably know me as a wedding photographer. That’s where this business began, and it will always be a part of my story. I built Meredith Jane Photography capturing some of the most meaningful days in people’s lives, and I’m deeply grateful for every couple, family, and creative I’ve worked with along the way.

But like most things in life, the story didn’t stop there.

Over the years, my world expanded. I became a wife, a mom, a business owner, a renovator, a creative partner, and someone constantly juggling beauty, logistics, ambition, and real life—often all at once. Somewhere in that evolution, I realized something important: I don’t fit neatly into one box anymore, and I don’t want to pretend that I do.

So this blog is changing too.

What This Blog Is (Now)

This space is becoming a general lifestyle and creative journal—one that reflects the full scope of what I do and what I love.

You’ll still see photography here. You’ll still see weddings. But you’ll also see:

  • Home projects and renovations

  • Design decisions and process (the wins and the mistakes)

  • Life with kids and running businesses simultaneously

  • Behind-the-scenes of creative work

  • Practical advice I’ve learned the hard way

  • Things I’m loving, using, testing, and recommending

This will be a place for real-life inspiration, not just polished end results.

Shoppable Links & Honest Recommendations

You’ll also notice shoppable links throughout the blog.

Any time I link a product, tool, or resource, it’s because it’s something I personally use, genuinely love, or would recommend to a friend. Some of these links may be affiliate links, which simply means I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.

Think of it less like “shopping” and more like:

“Here’s the exact thing I used—and why.”

No gatekeeping. No vague sourcing. Just transparency.

Why I’m Sharing More (and Wider)

For a long time, I felt pressure to keep everything separate:

  • One account for photography

  • One space for home

  • One version of myself at a time

But that never felt fully honest. The truth is, all of these things inform each other. My eye for photography influences how I design spaces. Running businesses affects how I approach creativity. Motherhood changed how I value time, systems, and intention.

This blog is a reflection of that whole picture.

If you’re here for weddings—stay.

If you’re here for homes—welcome.

If you’re here because you’re figuring out how to be more than one thing—this space is for you too.

Thanks for being here as Meredith Jane Photos evolves into something broader, deeper, and more reflective of real life.

— Meredith
